Visited Rose's Elfwood fanart page and was lured in by the sheer amusement factor the comments afford. And the blind screaming terror factor, because they scare me. They really do. Makes me realise, again, that Not Everyone Gets The Slash Thing. And rabid "Duo's miiiiine!!!" fangirlies should all be shot. Oh, and then found a comment from a friend of mine in there, which... surprised me. Momentarily. But then, she does /have/ an Elfwood gallery. Which you should visit, because she's damn good. Ashlea, the Absolut like the wolf image is a solid ingot of pure evil, and you rock. OFWhit! Yet again! For my part, I'm scared of these delayed-gratfication people who think that resisting the temptation to splurge, calmly waiting for tomorrow's installment, is somehow morally right. Far more fun to watch as much as possible in a huuge long run, so that by the time you reach the last episode your brain is seeping out of your ears and you can only burble in astonishment at the disturbing goings-on necessary to tie up the plot. But then, I normally don't get a chance to do that, which explains my deep and everlasting love of spoilers, because they mean you can enjoy the rest of the anime without minor considerations, like the plot, getting in the way. I'm a strange, strange child.
Harpy's pet hate of the day: people who consistently write 'ect' for 'etcetera'. It's etc, also written &c, since 'et' means 'and' in Latin and 'caetera' ('the rest') can be abbreviated to 'c' and I wish people knew this, I really do. But then, I'm a grammar fascist.

Suze, sorry to hear about Teej. For some reason it's always worst with cats, especially the really independent ones. Don't know why that is. So *hugs*. To return to my shallow and frivolous ways, I would now like to point out that after a heavy-duty session of mixing up blue gunk and wondering if my scalp was really burning or it was just psychosomatic, my hair colour has changed. It's now two-tone, so two-tone it could be in the Specials. Some of it's blonde, Zell-colour almost, tho' a bit orangey. The bits which used to be black are, however, dark brown. Tell a lie, mid-brown. It'll go red in the morning, since i think it's taken enough punishment for the night. And just think! Now i know what damaged hair /feels/ like, having always wondered. And then I will probably have reverse Joey-hair - red at the roots, brown at the tips (i /know/ his hair ain't like that now, but that's how i remember it). Which will amuse me no end, for a few minutes. So I'd better go get some sleep, then. However! bought a Japanese dictionary today, as I realised it was high time, and in the middle of looking for the /meaning/ of 'matsuei' (descendants. so YnM is 'descendants of darkness') discovered that fujin, under 'fu' which has similar kanji to 'matsu' ('end') to my untrained eye, means 'wife'. Which was mildly amusing. And then I decided to make hiragana flashcards on manuscript paper to prevent me from fiddling with the scary blue gunk in my hair, and realised that since there's no 'si' syllable, my name becomes 'se-shi-ri'(1), or possibly 'se-i-shi-ri' (since i'm not calling myself 'shi-shi-ri'). Which, as far as i'm concerned, is too close to 'se-i-shi-rou' for comfort. </p>(1): No, I wasn't actually /christened/ harpy. Sadly.

i started to write a long long whinge born of insomnia and sudden black indomitable depression. i was distracted by the oekaki bbs. Proving, once and for all, that it is a force for social good. If anyone feels like random contact, it's all to the good. I'm in the mood for random contact. All that remains of the whinge is this:
i do not want to walk. i want to sit out eternity in a silent room surrounded by angels.
