I now have the Abbot and Mansfield Primer of Greek Grammar: shiny and new and formal and perfectly designed to give me No Excuse for failing to keep my Greek. Dammit. I also managed to pick up Plato's Phaedo (Know Thy Enemy), Livy's Ab Urbe Condita Liber I, and five lives by Nepos ([*heart;heart*]); in their original languages, with glosses and whatnot at the back, two quid the three of 'em. All these schools who've had to give up teaching classics, or had to change syllabi, and where do their books go? Me, that's where. The point of this post was to say: my local classical bookshop r0xx0rz m3y3 b0xx0rz. And nothing is going on in my life beyond a general re-sort of my book collection; the record collection's next, and I ph33r. And also note that I am displaying unreasonably high levels of male pattern anal-retentive-ness. I need to make a Yomiko Readman icon, methinks.
