I've got a lot of problems with Rooney as a player (like: can you go a match without getting booked? please?), but him backflipping across the pitch after the 23rd-minute goal was supercute. And pretty much the highlight of the match, which was otherwise stultifyingly dull. With supremely dull commentary. I'm sitting here trying to remember if they were this rub at the beginning of the '02 world cup, and, you know, I think they were. I was just too distracted to notice, what with the SKorea wub and Italy being beaten by Croatia (ps: France? ahahahahahahahahawhat the hell are you doing?) and stuff.
