Well, go Greece. Decent game, although a bit stupid towards the end, that half just packed with Greek players and the poor Portuguese left with nowhere to go - outsized, outspeeded, outnumbered, outplayed. They didn't have a chance. Kind of a sign that the style of football I love isn't really one that gets results. Idiot England, earlier on, managing to scrape their way into the quarters despite being scrappy and incapable of communication; Greece, tenacious, unflashy, successful; Portugal, their pretty footwork and personality as nothing against solid, untiring defensive play. It's Ricardo I feel worst for, rather than those golden generation strikers: he may be an arrogant outrageous drama queen, but he's one of the best keepers in the world, that unforgivable goal notwithstanding. And that's... all I really have to say. All v dull over here.
