I hate it when you start writing something, or even worse are about halfway in and have just done a paragraph with some lines in it that you're kind of proud of and then suddenly you think - wait, no, thirteen. Fourteen, maybe. Must not overage people. erase, erase, erase.

So, anyway, the older I get the more I realise that every fandom needs turns-into-a-girl stories. Seriously. There is a huge market gap waiting to be filled, here! Ryoma turns into a girl and is sullen and Sakuno's all 'hi, let's be friends! you are quiet like me! and like this guy, who um I quite like' and Tomo-chan's like 'RYOMA-SAMA!!!! doko?' Momoshiro turns into a freakishly tall girl and CANNOT DEAL and then plays street tennis with Kamio, who's all '...that is a very powerful smash for a girl, huh, oddly familiar' and then Ann-chan sets them up on a Date-o and it all goes horribly wrong. Kikumaru turns into a girl, is astonishingly popular, Oishi is very very confused. Inui turns into a girl, all sexy science student in a sliiiightly fitted white labcoat, experimenting with the hemline of his skirt to see if he can achieve maximum efficiency (boys letting him get to the best lab benches, etc) and minimum bollockings (1) by teachers. Fuji turns into a girl and no-one notices. The permutations are endless!
Okay, maybe popslash is the only fandom where genderswitch was ever popular, but there was at least one in HP as well! ...and thinking of HP, in Prince of Quidditch, is Eiji the Seeker? Are Tezuka, Fuji, and Kawamura the Chasers? Are Momo and Kaidoh beaters? Is Oishi the Keeper, and Inui the team helper/student coach? Does Ryoma, on arriving, fuck this all up? you bet it does. This all brought to you by watching the football last night - Milan 2, Roma 0, Totti racking up one yellow and one red card and generally being the prissy pussyfooter that he is, but Roma's goalie was excellent - and getting distracted by wondering whether Seigaku would play 4-4-2 or maybe 4-4-1-1 (Kiku-Oishi pair in defence, I think, T certainly midfield. Momo... striker? Inui defence, maybe even goal, I imagine he'd be good at the long ball. Kawa midfield, or striker?, dopey until the ball's at his feet...) Hmm, maybe 5-3-2? Kaidoh could work as wingback. Echizen of course an all-rounder, prone to the fannydangle, but fast and good. Prince of Soccer obv bad idea, I get far too into this sort of thing.

Okay, um, I stop now.
But! turns-into-a-girl PoT! So many possibilities: so where is the fic?
