A fantastic concept - the invisible library, repository of books that only exist in fiction.

It's not a fandom if there's only one of you doing it, in my book, but for the record I am currently all about the j-doramas. preferably the ones starring boybandists. ('only one of you'tte - obviously other people do this, else where would the torrents come from?, but i do not talk to them at all, i am a shameless leech with a 1+ share ratio. ...yes I am excited about finally being able to use bt, can you tell?)

Completely off-topic (unless you wanted to count my current Nakahara fancying as a fandom of one, which *cough*), if I were to send you some posters for our kanbun workshop in the summer, is there a East Asian studies center or the like where I might trouble you to post some?

We have huge pinboards at the 0riental 1nstitute (XD) for just such a purpose! I'd prob have to check with one of the profs/other assorted dudes, but I see no reason they'd mind. Do you have my ox postal address (prob most convenient - i'll be back there from jan 8th), or shall I mail it you?

Dear Ms. Harpy,

I’m so pleased to see that the idea of a catalogue of books that exist only in other books continues to spread throughout the human memepool. My first encounter with this concept took the form of Mr. Brian Quinette’s catalogue, now defunct, alas. Fortunately, however, an archived copy does exist.

Mr. James Hay has also preserved Mr. Quinette’s work, and added to it himself.

Mr. Park and Mr. Stahl have also created a blog containing these materials.

Finally, my wife Fayaway and I have created our own branch of the invisible library at Malibu Lake, CA.

Thank you for noting and preserving this highly entertaining and increasingly useful information—doubt not, o blogger, but persist!

Curiously,

Hermester Barrington,
Chief Archivist, Law Offices of Petty, Smilodon, & Ruth (ret.)
